I will stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to really want to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest financial successes, regularly earning massive earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Difference

As both boxers engaged in the usual face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
