đź”— Share this article I cannot rely on three full seasons at United - the United boss Ruben Amorim - seen receiving consolation following May's continental cup disappointment - notes he is satisfied by the co-owner's long-term backing but underscored that tomorrow is uncertain in soccer. United's manager Amorim believes it's crucial Sir Jim Ratcliffe went public with his long-term thoughts - but says nothing is certain about tomorrow in football, let alone three years. During a discussion with a major publication recently, Sir Jim stated it might require the head coach three seasons to produce meaningful results at United's home ground. Arriving during a time when the manager's position has been facing examination in the wake of a lengthy stretch of poor performances, the words contributed to reducing some of the immediate pressure. But, speaking before the centenary clash with old rivals the Merseyside club at Anfield, the manager stressed that what comes next is challenging to anticipate in soccer. "It is really good to hear it but he tells me all the time, sometimes with a message following matches - but you know, I realize and Ratcliffe understands, that soccer doesn't work that way," he stated. "The most important thing is the upcoming match. Regardless of investors, you cannot manage tomorrow in soccer." CEO Berrada has conceded it has required significantly extended periods for the manager to acclimate to the top division after his transfer from his former club during the winter than anybody anticipated. The Red Devils have secured 10 victories in 34 top-flight fixtures with the Portuguese coach. They haven't managed consecutive league victories and have not ended a round of league games this season higher than ninth. The concerning numbers are stretching belief in the head coach among the United fanbase approaching a run of games the side has performed poorly in for the past two seasons. Amorim said he does not feel the doubt inside the club at their training facility and is adamant nothing can match the expectation he places on the squad - and in certain ways, he would rather Sir Jim to refrain from seeking to bring a sense of calm because he fears the influence it may create on the team. "It's not just something people discuss, I feel it daily," he said. "It's truly positive to listen to it because it assists our supporters to grasp the leadership know it is going to take a period. "However simultaneously, I don't like it because it creates an impression that we own time to resolve issues. I don't desire that sense in our organization. "The expectation I put on the team or on myself is so much bigger [versus outside influences]. In football, especially in big clubs, you have to show your value every matchday."
